When you subscribe

The subscription system stores your email address, subscription status, signup source, signup and confirmation dates, and unsubscribe date. If present, it also records campaign tags and the referring site’s origin. It does not store the full referring page address.

Confirmation and unsubscribe links use secret tokens. The database stores hashes of those tokens. Confirmation tokens expire after 24 hours.

Where that information goes

Supabase stores the internal subscriber record. Resend sends confirmation messages and newsletter emails, and holds the contact information needed for delivery. A subscription becomes active only after you confirm it.

This site has no advertising pixels or analytics tracking code. The signup endpoint uses a short-lived, keyed hash of your network address for rate limiting, rather than retaining your raw address in the subscriber database. Hosting and email providers may maintain their own operational logs and email-delivery records.

Partner links

The Partners page links to external suppliers. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. A supplier may attribute a purchase made with our code to this publication. This site does not collect payment details.

Leaving the list

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future issues; the internal record is retained to keep the delivery provider and subscription status consistent. Expired rate-limit records are cleared during synchronization.
